Currency

The Australian currency is the Australian dollar (AUD). Australia was the first country to implement a complete system of polymer (plastic) bank notes, which are much harder to counterfeit & extremely durable compared to the conventional paper notes.

Australia’s currency consists of coins of five, 10, 20 and 50 cent and one and two dollar denomination; and notes of five, 10, 20, 50 and 100 dollar denomination.
