AUSTRALIAN SUPERYACHT AWARDS HONORS THE BEST IN THE INDUSTRY

Superyacht Base Australia (SYBA) hosted the third annual Australian Superyacht Awards at the Gold Coast Convention Centre on Saturday 24 May, to coincide with the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.
This year Superyacht Base Australia elevated the standard of judging by including three international judges on the judging panel, in accordance with Australia competing in the international markets for orders for new builds, and to attract yachts to Australia for cruising and charter.
The Awards nominees grow in number and calibre each year as the industry continues to flourish, and this year saw the introduction of the Hall of Fame Award to recognise the significant achievements of outstanding individuals who have dedicated over ten years to the Australian superyacht industry. The Australian yacht construction industry dates back to 1975.
Themed ‘Rock’n Blues & Black Tie’, entertainment included blues duo Helen & The Groove Doctor, comedian/Impressionist Danny McMaster, and The Blues Brothers Revival Band.
